Questions, a problem with a card, or an idea: write to [email protected]. A real person reads it.

Plans and money

What is free, and what costs money?

Studying is always free. Making cards from a page (a photo, a scan, a PDF or pasted text) and importing decks is free for 30 cards each calendar month; the free cards come back on the first of the month. Cards you write yourself are never counted. To make more, subscribe: monthly, or yearly with a 7-day free trial. The prices shown in the app are the App Store's, in your currency.

How do I restore a purchase, or cancel?

In Flash Feed: Settings, then Free plan, then Restore purchases (a subscriber sees Manage subscription there instead). Subscriptions are managed by Apple: on your iPhone open Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. We never see your payment details.

Your cards

A card is wrong or confusing

Tap the three dots on the card and choose Edit card to fix it, or Remove from deck. Report a problem opens an email to us with the card filled in; nothing is sent until you press send.

Which iPhones does it work on?

Any iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Making cards on the phone itself needs Apple Intelligence; on other iPhones the text of the page is turned into cards on our server, after you agree once. Photos never leave your phone.

Can I take my decks with me?

Yes. Every deck can be exported (Anki's .apkg) from its menu, subscribed or not, and a deck can be shared with a friend as a file.

Your data

How do I delete my data?

Everything you make lives on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes your decks, cards and progress. There is no account. The server keeps only a random install code with page counts (for up to 40 days) and a public key from Apple's App Attest (for up to 60 days after you last make cards); neither says anything about you, and both expire by themselves, so there is nothing to look up. The details are in the privacy policy.
